The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Flipped by Your Friends

For John, BLUFProgressives making friends for Mr Trump.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

This is a story by, and about, Journalist Chadwick Moore.  The article is from the 11 February 2017 issue of The New York Post.  Here are the two intro paragraphs:
Chadwick Moore, a 33-year-old journalist who lives in Williamsburg, had been a lifelong liberal.  Then, last September, he penned a profile for Out magazine of Milo Yiannopoulos — a controversial alt-right extremist who is an outspoken critic of feminism, Muslims and gay rights (despite being openly gay himself).  Although the Out story didn’t take a positive stance — or any stance — on Yiannopoulos, Moore found himself pilloried by fellow Democrats and ostracized by longtime friends.

Here, he tells Michael Kaplan his story — including why the backlash drove him to the right.

Why can't we just be friendly to one another?  For sure we don't learn by freezing out others because we don't agree with their ideas.  We grow as individuals by being open to new ideas.

Hat tip to the InstaPundit.

Of course, if you think the other person is pure evil, then you need to form your own version of the White Rose, die Weiße Rose.  However, the cost could be civil war and the needless destruction of the greatest force for freedom of individuals in the history of the world, well, aside from Jesus Christ Himself.
