The EU

Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Change is Not Always for the Better

For John, BLUFThere may not be causation, but there is correlation between stay-at-home moms and the school performance of children.  Nothing to see here; just move along.

On 30 December Pew Researcher Ms Gretchen Livingston, gave us "It’s no longer a ‘Leave It to Beaver’ world for American families – but it wasn’t back then, either".

The thrust of the short article from PEW was that what worked for families in 1960 didn't in 2014.  We are a different nation, as this chart shows:

The numbers are, in the article, further broken down by "race".  Asian families tend to have more stay-at-home moms, and Asian students tend to do well in school.  Check out the article at the link for the second chart.
