Google says the EU requires a notice of cookie use (by Google) and says they have posted a notice. I don't see it. If cookies bother you, go elsewhere. If the EU bothers you, emigrate. If you live outside the EU, don't go there.

Conference—Homelessness and the Elderly


For John, BLUFUnderstanding the homelessness situation regarding the elderly.  Come join us.

This Friday, April 12, 2013 - 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, the City of Lowell will hold its eighth "Keys to Ending Homelessness Conference", this time looking at "Homeless and At-Risk Seniors".

The location will be the UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center, 50 Warren Street, here in Lowell, MA.

The Keynote Speaker will be Mr Steven Grossman, Treasurer and Receiver General, Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  Also speaking will be Mr Aaron Gornstein, Undersecretary, Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development. In addition to the speakers, there are two sets of breakout sets, as follows:

A-1.  Homeless Elders 101
A-2.  Hoarding
A-3.  Financial Management and Resources
A-4.  Case Management and In-Home Clinical Care

B-1.  Homeless Elders 101
B-2.  Housing
B-3.  Health Care
B-4.  Mental Illness and Substance Use

While many of those attending will be professionals in the area of Elder Services or Homelessness, there are issues that might be of benefit to those who have elderly at home, whom they are caring for.
