Well, it does look like Wimpy♠ put it together, but ABC New's Jonathan Karl is saying it is out there. It appears to give the President what he wants, cover through the 2012 Elections.

Wimpy didn't make it. The Senate voted it down 50-49. It is bad when the Democrat controlled Senate can't even get something kludged together. The spending cuts are not enough or fast enough and yes, there is the politics of not giving Obama a free pass through the election. When a sitting President can't even get his own party to do his bidding......
And to use the troops and the seniors as political pawns.....pretty bad.
AND...OBTW....even IF Obama gets his precious debt extension, there is still the issue of our credit rating which many folks say is about to go in the toilet
