Gov't Tax Lawyer For President?

Over at the Tax Prof Blog (Prof Paul L Caron) we have this quote from Wikipedia:
rom 1988 to 1993, [she] was a U.S. Treasury Department attorney in the US Federal Tax Court located in St. Paul.  According to [her], she represented the Internal Revenue Service "in hundreds of cases" (both civil and criminal) prosecuting people who underpaid or failed to pay their taxes.  She left her government position to become a full-time mother. ...
How about someone like that for President?

But then you immediately knew it was Representative Michele Bachmann, didn't you?  This from The New York Times:
"Nothing's off the table for her," Andy Parrish, Bachmann's chief of staff, said Wednesday.  "She's looking forward to traveling to Iowa for the fundraiser, and you know, she's looking forward over the next year to traveling and sharing the story of why we can't re-elect Barack Obama as president."

Parrish wouldn't say when Bachmann would decide.  But he said her own decision-making process won't be influenced by those of either Pawlenty or former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, whom Bachmann has previously called a good 2012 prospect.
On the other hand, she is another lawyer.  How is that working out for us?

Hat tip to the Instapundit.

Mama Grizzly will turn on her cub. Or is Bachmann a trial ballon?

Lead filled, of course.
